Post Fest: Day 2 of 30.

So, maybe it is past midnight which means that technically I didn't make my post in time but to tell you the truth, I am just happy I made it to day two! Lets be honest, going to bed before one in the morning is so over rated, right? I have to tell myself that often to make me feel better about my sleep deprived life.

So, here is my number two. I warned y'all yesterday that many of my pictures will probably be fam or friends so if it bores you, too bad! ;)

"Gramps", "Bompa", "Rocco", "Doo Doo". He has many names in our fam and the list keeps getting longer each year. Gramps is and was an incredible athlete. He played college football on scholarship and was quite the star during his college days. But being the modest man he is, I was rarely told about the stories of his 4-year college stardom, but rather the crazy fraternity prank stories that keep him laughing to this day. I still don't know much about football except that I sure do enjoy a good cold coke and nachos while I watch it. But, I also know that Gramps was overloaded with excitement, memories and joy as he took his first grandson on his shoulders into the horseshoe stadium. Though these pictures may offer little thrill to you, they are images I will always cherish. Each time I look at the middle image I get chills about how exciting it was to take the long walk, making our way through the dark halls into the bright, sun-lit stadium. The anticipation was wonderful. Just look at that smile as Gramps stands above the 50 yard line.

It was such a joy watching my dad looking back to his college days and watching him looking forward to E's college days.
